ECFA Competition Programme

The ECFA (European Children's Film Association) Competition Programme shines a spotlight on European children’s films and gives special attention to quality films for a young audience.

A number of European children & youth film festivals, all members of ECFA, annually convene a special international jury consisting of film professionals, who choose the ECFA Award winner from their programme. Each festival with an ECFA jury forwards their winner, and these films will compete for the overall annual ECFA Award - Best European Children's Film. The award is always handed out at the Berlinale film festival. The ECFA Award was launched in 2011 and today it has become a prestigious award among filmmakers.
