Change of Heart
What to do when your heart tells you that things are no longer right?
Maia lives and works on her grandmother Nora’s cattle farm in rural Denmark. She loves her job, her small community and the animals she cares for every day. However, when her grandmother considers selling the family farm to a large company due to financial troubles, Maia delves deeper into agricultural practices and becomes greatly concerned for the future of our world. Becoming aware of both the destructive impact of farming on the environment and the ethical conflicts involved in eating meat, Maia begins a protest that grows increasingly louder. She sabotages her grandmother’s farm’s production chain and tries to derail the sale. Maia’s radical behaviour does not go unnoticed by the community, and the question arises – how to find a balance?
Suitable for ages 12 and above.
