Mission: To ensure equal access to film culture and education for every child and young person in Estonia.

In 2026, Just Film launched an education fund to support cinema visits for children at a time when school trips have become inaccessible for some students due to rising prices and difficult circumstances.

Film is a window to the world. It teaches empathy, critical thinking, and the ability to see stories through the eyes of others. For many children, going to the cinema with their school is the only time they encounter professional film culture, and not all families can afford it. To ensure that no one is left out of the opportunity to learn in the cinema hall, we have established the Just Film Education Fund.

What we do with the funds raised?

In the first year, our goal is to bring 3,000 children and young people to the cinema. Every donated euro turns into something very concrete – a cinema ticket and a bus ride that brings an entire class in front of the big screen. In the future, we will expand the fund’s activities towards film education and workshops, making film a natural part of schoolwork.

What does it cost?

Bringing one student to the cinema costs an average of about €24:
€6 cinema ticket
Up to €18 bus transport (depending on the school's location if coming from outside Tallinn)

What does your donation mean?

€24 brings one child to the cinema
€700 brings an entire class to the cinema

Every amount – large or small – brings a child closer to a high-quality and educational film experience.

The fund thrives on the goodwill of individuals and companies. Your contribution is a donation that goes entirely towards bringing children to the cinema. Donations are collected by the non-profit organization Pimedate Ööde Filmifestival (Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival), which is included in the list of associations with income tax incentives, making donations tax-exempt within certain limits in Estonia.

Additionally, companies or individuals can let us know if they wish to support bringing children to the cinema from a specific institution, region, school, or kindergarten that is close to their heart. Contact: janjoonas.pevkur@poff.ee
