Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Just Film, the youth and children’s film festival of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), will present an International Youth Film Competition Programme featuring exclusively world and international premieres.
The International Children's Film Competition includes ten films, and six of them will have a world or international premiere at the festival.
Mikk Granström, Programme Director of Just Film, is very enthusiastic about this year’s exceptional competition line-up. “The International Youth Film Competition will present nine titles, and we are truly proud that Just Film audiences will be among the very first in the world to experience these films. We are deeply grateful to the filmmakers for entrusting us with their premieres, which we regard as a strong vote of confidence in our programme and work.”
Granström further emphasized the distinctive character of the festival’s selection: “The films that will be shown at Just Film are bold and address issues of real relevance. Our audience – comprising children, teenagers, and young adults – deeply values authentic stories that have the power to make a difference. For filmmakers, screening their work here offers a unique opportunity to receive immediate and genuine feedback directly from young viewers.
