We invite enthusiastic and creative students to apply with their classmates to the jury of the most awesome film festival in Northern Europe!

This year, for the 25th time, Just Film is once again announcing the Class Jury competition for film-loving classmates. The task of the Class Jury is to present an official Class Jury Award, based on thorough preparation, festival immersion, and meaningful discussions.

What is the Class Jury?

The Class Jury is an official Just Film jury made up of students from the same class, together with a teacher or supervisor. All jury members will watch a specially curated program during the festival and select the film they think is the best. The Class Jury will be chosen through an open competition, running from today until October 10.

What awaits the Class Jury at the festival?

The winning class will receive free cinema visits, special preparation before the film marathon begins, access to selected materials from the Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) Film School, mentoring and guidance during the festival (film interpretation, reflections, and analysis), meetings with filmmakers and festival organizers, and of course, a lively festival atmosphere. Together with our supporters, we also have plenty of surprises in store for eager young film enthusiasts!

How to apply?

The Class Jury is open to all groups of students from grades 5–12 (at least 10 students), together with a supervisor. Applications can also be submitted by part of a class — participation does not require the whole class. However, students must be able to attend 4–6 screenings in Tallinn cinemas between November 7–23.

To participate in the competition, please submit a free-form introductory video about your class by October 10.
