We invite enthusiastic and creative students to apply with their classmates to the jury of the most awesome film festival in Northern Europe!

Now taking place for the 26th time, Just Film is once again launching its Class Jury competition for film-loving classes. The Class Jury’s task is to present the official Class Jury Award after thorough preparation, an exciting festival experience and engaging discussions.

What is a Class Jury?
The Class Jury is Just Film’s official jury, consisting of students from the same class together with a supervising teacher. During the festival, all jury members will watch a specially curated film programme created for them and select the film they consider the best. The Class Jury will be selected through an open competition, which runs from today until 1 October.

What awaits the Class Jury during the festival?
In addition to free cinema screenings, the winning class will receive our support and preparation before embarking on a more intensive film marathon, access to selected materials from the PÖFF Film School, guidance and mentoring throughout the festival (including film discussions, reflection and analysis), meetings with filmmakers and festival organisers, and, of course, an exciting festival experience. We and our wonderful supporters will certainly have even more surprises in store for enthusiastic young film lovers!

How to apply?
All groups from grades 5–12 (minimum 10 students) are welcome to apply together with a supervising teacher. Part of a class may also apply, meaning that the full class does not have to participate. However, please note that students must be able to attend 4–6 film screenings at cinemas in Tallinn between 6 and 22 November. To enter the competition, we ask you to submit a free-form introductory video presenting your class by 1 October.

Video requirements:
Maximum length: 5 minutes
Filmed and edited by the students themselves
Expresses the class’s motivation to take part in the project
Any film genre of your choice (why not a romantic comedy, thriller or even a mockumentary?)
Above all, we want to see creativity from young people!
