Just Film 2024 gave Saku Gymnasium's 6th grade a thrilling opportunity to step into the world of film critics.
25 students and their teacher Keyt Vainola took part in a true film marathon during the festival.

A total of five films were watched: „Holy Cow", „Young Hearts", „Kneecap”, „My Father’s Daughter" and „Spilt Milk”.

Before watching the films, the students participated in an introduction session where Jan Joonas Pevkur, a member of the Just Film program team, shared valuable information about filmmaking, the evaluation process, and the festival itself. During the festival, there were also progress discussions, but the most exciting moment came when, after watching the last film, the students selected their favorite. And the choice was clear: „Kneecap”.

Why „Kneecap”? The young judges highlighted the film's powerful message and dynamic pace, which left a strong impression on them. They also mentioned that the film was like a refreshing jolt to their daily lives – no boredom, just a truly gripping story.
