Just Film Festival Celebrates 24th Edition with a Diverse Lineup of International Youth Films!
The largest sub-festival of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), Just Film, Estonia's premier youth and children's film festival, is set to celebrate its 24th edition with an exciting international competition program. This year, 20 films will compete for top honors, among them there will be world premieres, international premieres and Baltic premieres. In total, 52 extraordinary films will be featured, offering a diverse and global representation of youth and children cinema. These films will be showcased across various programs, connecting audiences to the rich and dynamic world of youth and children's storytelling.
“We are deeply honored to present such a diverse and inspiring selection of films in this year's youth film competition program, including, for the second year in a row, an Estonian film in the competition. Each film in this program opens a new perspective on the lives and challenges of young people, while offering unique cinematic experiences. Our goal is to bring stories to the audience that evoke emotions and provoke thought – both for young people and adults. I am very excited that we have the opportunity to showcase these films at this year's festival," comments Mikk Granström, Just Film Programme Director.
The International Youth Film Competition, featuring world premieres, Baltic premieres and international premieres, will be judged by a youth jury as well as a three-member international jury. The latter will award the Just Film Grand Prix along with a €3,000 grant.
