Just Film opens submissions for this year’s festival taking place from the 3rd until 19th November 2023.

The 23rd edition of the Youth and Children's Film Festival Just Film is now accepting film submissions, which can be submitted via FilmFreeway. The programme includes competitive programmes from previous years - the International Competition programme for youth feature films and the International Competition programme for children’s feature films. In addition, this year is introducing two more international competitive programmes - the International Competition programme for junior feature films and the #youngfilmmaker Competition programme. The regular deadline for competitive and non-competitive feature film programs is the 1st of July 2023.

The #youngfilmmaker programme was first introduced in 2021 as a way to bring the work of local young filmmakers to wider audiences during the biggest film festival event in Northern Europe. In 2023, we have taken a step further and are accepting submissions from all over the world. Entry requirements and regulations can be found here. All selected films will enter competition for the #youngfilmmaker grand award. Furthermore, Just Film will launch an Industry networking and workshop event, specifically designed with young filmmakers in mind, which will take place during the festival weeks. This will complement the programme of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event, a summit and trade fair for audiovisual industry professionals held annually in November during the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
